March updates! It's my birthday month!

I think I'll take this time to blog about my March updates!

I really like blogging and reading blogs, even my own one cos I like seeing the updates of my life from time to time.

For the longest time I've been thinking and planning and strategising on how to become a good blogger who can draw readers but I realise it's always basically down to 3 main things: good looks, humorous, informative. And the top bloggers are always those who have the combination of all these three attributes.

For the good looks part, I don't think I am particularly ugly or anything but I just don't do enough with my appearance to make myself stand out. I mean, I've seen other bloggers who aren't traditionally pretty or good looking making it big too, but it's because they have a certain style, or a certain kind of recognisable look that makes people remember them. And that's something that I am trying to work on.

I've never seen myself as being humorous in my blog because somehow I don't know how to write to make people laugh. But I do agree that in real life when I talk to people, I am quite humorous! I mean, people always laugh at what I say! Okla I don't know if they laugh because I'm stupid or I'm funny lah to be honest wtf

Thirdly, being informative is something that I am really quite uninterested in. I mean, I personally like reading blogs that are about lifestyle, beauty, food etc and it's all because they are feasts for the eyes. I mean, I don't mind reading about beauty tutorials or food recipes or how to dress up etc but to blog about those things isn't really what I like. I prefer just sharing stuff about myself (haha I'm very self-centered) and getting attention to my personal being. Maybe I need to find a way to be informative but yet still staying true to what I like blogging about.

So anyway! My favourite part about blogging is just writing whatever that comes to my mind, sharing photos which I think are nice, and the best part is I like reading back old posts just to relive the memories and see how much I've changed since!

So I guess this will just be a random post about my March this 2016, because March is my birthday month and 2016 has been giving me very strong and positive vibes! I feel like by the end of this year, I will have changed a lot for the better! So I'll try to blog at least once every month about my updates! :D

First off!

A few weeks ago, I'd been seeing many people wearing running shoes such as these Nike ones but I'd never really taken an interest in them. Mainly because I usually can't be arsed to wear shoes wherever, whenever unless I absolutely have to and also because I have my trusty old pair of Birkenstocks which matches everything I wear lol

But when I was in Phuket, I saw Bee Tin sporting a really super cute pair of Nike Roshe Run with polka dot base and I absolutely fell in love! I asked her when and where she bought but she said she bought it a long time ago and she wasn't sure if they were still available in the market!

So pretty right! So sporty but girl at the same time!

So anyway I saw the plain ones one day and I decided I would get those instead cos they actually look much more classic and easily paired with any type of style! And so I bought the plain ones in the first photo instead! And seriously, I have been wearing them everywhere, anywhere ever since wtf they are so comfy and pretty omg!

I can't imagine how I've never liked them before this!!! RM249 at any sports store I guess, they are the new edition!

Second update, I went to the dentist recently because I've made the decisive decision to fix my crooked teeth. I never knew how bad my teeth were until I saw the dentist omg...

Is this not the ugliest set of teeth you have ever seen or what?

You're probably thinking like, "It's okay what," but let me tell you how UNokay it is.

I initially wanted to get Invisalign, which is a really expensive clear plastic teeth aligner, because the process supposedly takes less time than braces to fix teeth and the best part is, it's transparent and almost invisible! So you will not have to look like you have metal in your teeth when you are fixing your teeth!

But then my dentist said that my case is so severe (because my lower set of teeth grew more outward than my upper set wtf fml) and to push it back in and to extend my upper teeth outwards, I will need to use the traditional metal braces instead. Invisalign simply will not work on my teeth because it isn't strong enough to push my teeth properly wtf

And so, I paid the deposit to get my custom orthodontic expander done and within a month I will go get them and will have to wear them for at least 6 months before I can fix on my braces. :(

To feel my pain, please go and google what orthodontic expanders are and read about the horror stories of people who have had to wear them. T___T FYI, I'm totally gonna get ceramic braces instead of metal ones because I absolutely cannot imagine have such visible metal on my teeth!

I already have an ugly face, I can't have metal in my mouth as well. Life should not be that cruel.

Third!

Bee Tin, Ee Vonne, and I finally went clubbing at Zouk after a long 2-month hiatus wtf because of various reasons (CNY period, I was dating a guy I really liked back then so I didn't go clubbing, bomb scares, etc etc) and we decided to all dressed up in sporty and casual outfits to commemorate the restart of our party days LOL!

I wore my Nikes and they were damn comfy! And pretty! I'm in love!

Selfie because I loved my hair that day haha!

And multiple wefies in the car! We are super cost-efficient clubbers please!

This is what we do! We drive to Zouk and park and try to get the stamp before 1130pm because it's RM45 per entry instead of RM60 if you come after 1130pm!

And then since there is no human being in Zouk before 1130pm, we then walk back to our car and share a bottle of red wine that we brought from home HAHA! We play club music in the car, drink our red wine, get hyped up and THEN at 12+am we walk back to Zouk feeling pumped up, high, and all ready to club the night away!

HAHA cool routine or what! I love my clubbing kakis!

WTF look at Ee Vonne's fingers damn scary or what wtf wtf I have no idea what kind of style she was trying to do LOL

More shamless selfies hehe

Next!

We finally went to try Chaibar after falling in love with La Juiceria's Goodness Green's Cafe! And I kinda think I like Chaibar better now that I have tried both!

Somehow to selections in Chaibar are more...I don't know, tasty and varied? Whereas in GG Cafe the selections are more normal and traditional? I can't really pin point the difference but I would say both are really good!

I especially love that I could order grilled beef in Chaibar and if I remember correctly, grilled beef isn't available in GG Cafe's menu? I could be wrong! But do try both the places out and see which you prefer!

And tips, the creamy wasabi dressing in Chaibar is damn, damn, damn good!

And OH! FOLLOW ME ON SNAPCHAT PLS SCID: joyeetan TQTQTQTQ

Another photo edited using Makeup Plus (and Youcamperfect) LOL the before photo is so unbelievably ugly that I dare not even post it here haha

We also went to celebrate Dave's birthday!

We went to The Point KL and the food was...expectedly priced as what I imagined (meaning expensive) and the quality was just okay. Despite all the good reviews I've read and heard from people, I didn't really like the place leh. It seemed a little too ordinary for me...like nothing special?

Service was kinda lousy too...

On the way there! CAR SELFIE haha!

Oh yes, if you see dark photos like this in my blog, please note that I intentionally left them unedited because the quality is already not very good lah, so I can't be bothered to salvage them haha

All of us looking pretty and handsome that day! Dave, Ee Vonne, Shirley and Bee Tin!

After having dinner at The Point, we adjourned to the Skybar at Traders Hotel! Again, I didn't particularly enjoy myself because the lemongrass cocktail I ordered didn't have a slight hint of lemongrass (I LOVE LEMONGRASS OKAY) and the crowd was too...old and foreign to me!

The music was good though and I did dance, but I'd prefer a night out at Zouk anytime HAHA

And lastly, I want to note that I've started my new meal plan and work out plan designed for me by TJ, who is Joseph's friend haha so kind of him hor, for free some more! He said he is using me as a lab rat to try out this fitness program that he devised and I was like OKAY! As long as I can lose 5kg to become 57kg! :D

I started this on the...14 of March! I will check back again in one month's time to show you all my progress okay!

Healthy breakfast of two soft boiled eggs and a piece of wholemeal toast plus greentea! Damn clean and healthy and yummy!

I'm preparing all three of my meals from now on except for one cheat meal each on Saturday and also Sunday where I can eat whatever I want! I've realised that I really actually prefer eating food that I cook my own because 1) I love cooking, and 2) I am good and cooking, so the food I prepare is always much more delicious than what I can find outside! I mean, that's my opinion lah LOL and healthy and clean food some more!

SCID: joyeetan LOL

Never knew toasted wholemeal tortilla wraps can taste so delicious on its own without any sauce! And I toally cannot finish one piece of tortilla wrap in one seating WTF I had to force feed myself until I cleared my plate because I didn't wanna throw any food away.

Next time I will just toast half a tortilla wrap per meal haha

I also prepared lunch to be brought to school! No excuses!!! And some more so yummy: grilled vege (I just put them all with a bit of oil in a very super hot frying pan and added a bit of water plus salt and pepper, covered the lid and let them roast themselves! No oven needed! Mainly because I initially wanted to roast them in the oven but once I turned it on the electricity of my whole house went out WTF so in the end I had to use a normal frying pan haha) and pan fried chicken marinated with salt pepper, rosemary!

Another shameless snapchat ad: ADD ME! SNAPCHAT ID: joyeetan

I have a question...

Are those abs? LOL

I don't know how I managed to snap such a nice photo of my abdomen, it looks like I have abs and a flat tummy don't you think!!! LOL I am truly a master on catching angles!

Because most of the time, my tummy actually looks like this WTF fml

Ending this post with my dinner today!

Carrot, onion, tomato, potato, chicken, and tofu soup with a slice of wholemeal toast!

See you guys soon! My birthday is in 3 days I'll check back with updates!

♥ STAY FIT STAY HEALTHY STAY HAPPY GUYS!

Makeup Plus app as recommended by blogger Fourfeetnine

I think I'll take this time to blog about the make-up app that blogger Fourfeetnine has been using on her children Fighter and Mochi as seen in her Dayre!

It's damn cute lah you guys go check out the photos! So I decided to download the app too and so far I've been having alot of fun editing my ugly no make-up photos into very chio photos hahaha

Here are the download links for Android users and Apple users.

HAHAHAHA damn good or what! I'm so impressed by how natural it looks even though the make up is all edited on! The precision points on the face is really quite accurate! How it works is they have these dots that you have to place at special areas of your face for the app to correctly scan and apply the make up. And this makes the application of the make up to really be on point and not like, crooked or out of place hahaAnother thing is, the shade of the make up is also really natural and doesn't look that fake! I've used other apps before where the precision points are good but then the make up that you apply looks kinda fake, but this one isn't! Haha oklah I mean provided you don't overdo it and choose a totally unnatural colour that doesn't suit the colour of the photo lah wtf
Haha damn nice right! From sick weak damsel into chio alluring slutty geisha wtf all with a few pushes of a button LOLBut then I also think the make up doesn't look fake because the entire photo gets this like airbrush or faded finish that softens everything out. I mean, for sure when you see the after photo, you know a filter has been applied. That's why you wouldn't go and check if the make up is real or not because you'd assume that the whole photo is not 'original' anymore haha But still, chio! And good enough for those days when you feel like posting a good photo but only have ugly bare-faced photos in your phone and are too lazy to apply make up to snap a new photo wtf

I also took the liberty of editing photos of my friends who are too lazy to put on make up themselves haha and look! Damn chio or what!!! Bee Tin totally looks like an Instababe please, her skin looks brighter and her eyes look so much more attractive! Haha!Bee Tin, now you can use this app to edit your photos and bluff people! HAHA  Ee Vonne looks damn good after make up too!Btw, CAN YOU GUYS PLEASE PUT ON MAKE UP!? Why am I the only one who would bother to pick up the eyeliner to line my eyes (I think it's because compared to them, my bare face is too horrifying to be allowed out in the public wtf) before I step out of the house? The good thing about this app also is remember I mentioned about the precision points? You can also manually adjust them and place them wherever you like!I've always had a problem with the heads of Ee Vonne's eyebrows LOL look at the before photo, the head of the left brow is kind of pointy? I like brows that are thick from the head and the body and have a slight pointy edge at the end (I guess this is how brows are universally agreed upon too) so I adjusted the precision points to make the head of her brows look thicker.Looks damn nice right! She looks so awake after my editing please! And younger!

And then my mum wanted me to edit her photo too and I did! Haha so cute hor

She looks so young and awake after my editing too!

In conclusion I super love this app lah! Haha you guys go try out and have fun okay!

And if you happen to come across this blog and decided to try the app and blog about it, comment your blog link so that I can see your edited photos too okay! Hehe

Happy editing and happy blogging everyone!

Trip to Pooooooket!

I think I'll take this time to blog about my Phuket trip!

Last two weeks, Ee Vonne and I tagged along on Bee Tin and Lee Xin's annual Phuket trip for three days and two nights!

What happened was, Ee Vonne and I had exams until the 9th of Jan and BT and LX were gonna go to Phuket from the 8th to 11th! So they told us to just COME and buy tickets on 9th itself and then we could all return on the 11th together! So about 5 days before the 9th EV and I frantically went around airasiago's website and looked for the similar deal that BT and LX bought! And we managed to find them and get this: We only paid RM350 each for return tickets AND two nights of stay at Chang Club Hotel!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CHEAP DIE US

And so on the 9th, right after our last paper, EV and I bolted out of UM and headed immediately to KLIA2 to board our flights! After a series of unfortunate events (sold out bus tickets, massive traffic jams, expensive taxi rides etc) we managed to arrive in KLIA2 just 20min before boarding! But that was good enough lah cos we managed to stuff ourselves with McD lunch cos that was our first meal of the day and it was already 5+pm!

1.5 hours later we arrived in Phuket and we boarded a minibus which took us to our hotel. Many waits and delays later we finally managed to meet up with BT and LX and they brought us to have glorious Thai dinner!

Super yums pineapple fried rice.
Super yums garlic pork! Somehow the garlic bits tasted even better than the pork itself haha!A must in Thai restaurants: stir fried mixed vegetables. After our dinner, EV and I still felt like we wanted to eat (because it was Thailand!) so we walked around and bought this banana and chocolate crepe thing that BT super recommended! She reported that she ate about 2 servings of this per day the last time she was in Phuket hahahahaha! After that, we went to the street Phuket is famous for: Bangla Street!

And it was damn, damn cool! It was like this whole stretch of road where on either side there were bars after bars heavily playing loud clubbing music! Each bar had colourful lighting and designs unique to their own and in some of them there were girls (some born female, some weren't) dancing on table tops in skimpy clothes!

And drinks and cocktails were going like 80baht (around RM10) a glass and there were just soooo many people walking around laughing, drinking, and just partying! I LOVE BANGLA STREET LAH!

We all went and bought bottled beers from the many convenience stores located on the street and it was only 37baht (around RM5) each WTF damn cheap like shit BUY ALL THE BEERS!

Then when it was close to midnight, BT and LX brought EV and me to their favourite club on Bangla Street which was...

Seduction Club haha!

We were greeted by a performance by a group of famous B-boys haha! And ironically we ended up drinking with them by the end of the night because they kept coming to play with us! One thing fun about clubbing in Phuket was there were always random people who would come up to us and offer us free drinks!!! We bought ourselves a tequila shot each each night but we actually didn't even have to bother lah! Hahaha

I don't have photos of us clubbing lah obviously cos I was too busy dancing but you will see some awesome photos at the end of this post ok! HAHA

The next day, we went island hopping! I was operating on only 2 hours of sleep so I looked like shit wtf but never mind, my shades helped cover my panda eyes haha!

Give all the fippers to Ee Vonne! Why? We don't knowwww! Hahahahaha
Not much photos of the island hopping trip because jeng jeng jeng...I had seasick WTFDamn loser or what wtf fml I never used to get seasick you know! Never! I don't know what is happening to me! I'm becoming so weak these days like can you imagine the other day I fell down and very lightly some more, but the pain in my left knee lasted for like months wtf And then now in Phuket on the boat to the islands I was trying to keep my vomit down wtf while everyone else on the boat was having fun and looking forward to snorkelling. I couldn't even go snorkel fml and I just sat on the beach asking every single person unfortunate enough to cross my path if he or she felt the island wavering or not WTFBut good thing from this is I didn't even get tanned one shade darker wtf cos I kept sitting at corners and hiding under my towel trying to maintain my composure hahaha...After island hopping, BT and LX went to get a massage but EV and I went back to our hotel to take a nap. By the time we woke up, BT and LX finished their massage and went back to get their naps instead haha so we had separate dinners. So EV and I walked around our hotel area for street food stalls! FUN!

One of the best parts of Thailand has got to be the street food stalls! Cheap and good food at just about every corner of any street! Hehe

Had fried chicken. Haha

Somtam which is their papaya salad!

EV trying not to cry because the somtam was damn spicy wtf

Our matchy outfits for our food hunt heheThen while walking, we came across this street food galore!!! It was like their pasar malam and everything looked sooooo good! AHHHHHHH

The real and original Sangkaya.

EV and I were damn full from all the random street food we had prior but we succumbed to buying this pork leg rice to share in the end haha it was good! Tasted like bak kut teh hahaAfter we finished our dinner walk, we went back to the hotel to meet BT and LX and then we headed to Bangla Street again! Hehe another night of clubbing at Seduction!

We shared a bucket of vodka + sprite before it hit 12am (clubbing starts at 12am duh) and the bucket damn cute or what! And only RM30+!!! CHEAP!!!

View from the rooftop bar.Again, no self-taken photos but....HEHEHEThe next day we woke up early and went to the nearby wet market to get fresh seafood so that we can bring them to the stalls above the market to get them cooked!!!

A lot of live seafood but it was a last day in Phuket so we didn't have that much budget hahaha but we still had a feast!

Stir-fried cabbage.

Yummy pineapple fried rice.

Damn oily but yummy omelette.

Thai style fish! We had crabs too but I didn't upload the photo because it looks very ugly and it didn't taste very nice. I don't know how Thai people can ruin yellow curry but this stall did.And......................as promised:

HAHAHAHAHA party photos professionally shot by the photographers in Seduction and gracefully stolen by us from their official Facebook page!!!And in the last photo, obviously I am the focus of the shot instead of the guy getting fed vodka from stage LOLAll in all, Phuket was so fun and we want to go again!!! ANUALLY! HAHAHAHAHA
